Hello, I believe it would increase the adaption of TwitterHub if you would provide an upate site from which the user can install TwitterHub. Best regards, Lars
Sorry, I said "Update Site" but I meant "Download Site". ----- I believe it would increase the adaption of TwitterHub if you would provide an download site from which the user can download & install TwitterHub.
Changing title and adding Markus Kuppe, who is doing the git transition and working on the ECF builder...which is where this will likely need to be implemented as a product-based build using Buckminster. Those interested in seeing this happen in the near term should coordinate with Markus K directly and contribute to the releng tasks.
What should be on the download side? - Zip files for various platforms (which one) to install a standalone product - A p2 repo of the tweethub feature to be installed into existing RCPs - Both - Something completely different
Hi, what is the state of tweethub? Are there still people working on it?
(In reply to comment #4) > Hi, what is the state of tweethub? Are there still people working on it? Yes, I believe there are...although afaict they haven't been very active in 2010. James Sugrue (Dzone author) did much of the early work, and committer Marcelo Mayworm and others were contributing. But like I said, I haven't seen much traffic on the mailing list from James or others about twitterhub in 2010. If you want to find out people's intentions for future work, I suggest writing something to the ecf-dev mailing list, and/or perhaps James S directly at james at dzone.com (he's also on the cc list).
Hi all. You're right Scott, it's been a long time since we have done any work on tweet hub. We would still like to continue though, and it would also be Interesting to see how it works on e4.. But we will be back to work on tweet hub again soon. Ideally the download would be a p2 repository. James
p2 repo makes things from a build perspective a lot easier. Basically it should be supported out of the box. Can you guys outline what bundles should be part of the build and what is the top level feature? With that info I can start to set up a build on https://build.ecf-project.org/hudson

(In reply to comment #8) > Can we work together on this because I want to have an automated product build > for the newsreader as well. I can already build a product manually. I've filed bug #321495 for Salvo. It looks like tweethub won't need a product build but will be fine with a feature build (p2 repo).
Changing target milestone to 3.5 as won't be in 3.4. Please offer help (for releng) if you would like to see this happen sooner.
Given the lack of resources for all things ECF...and specifically for ECF releng I don't see this likely to happen. I would like for it to happen, but I cannot accomplish it given resources. Changing target milestone to ECF 3.6.
Closing as won't fix, as no activity for a long time. I personally also don't need this anymore, hence I close my bug report. If someone still needs this, please open a new bug report.
