We have a customer who has 8000+ files in a single directory. When the directory was opened in the Details view, they found it was very slow, especially when the permissions of the files were retrieved. We've suggested the customer to create filters to group the files and don't show all the columns. But we hope RSE can do something to improve the performance in this area as well.
Can you be a little bit more specific what is slow: * Initially populating the details view? * Scrolling in the details view? * Stuff like add/remove column, sort column? Is the RSE Treeview fast enough when the corrsponding folder is expanded and the details view is not open? What systemtype have you been using against what kind of remote host? Is the host platform (Windows XP) correct? Do you see the same issue with another system type (SSH) ?
