When I create a new feature the default version is 1.0.0. 
This will result in headaches to users if people are exporting features over and over again without changing version. 
It would be best to create features specifying .qualifier thus helping ppl follow the recommendation we have been given them for years.

This needs to also be made true for features, plugins, products and the likes.

It sounds like a dupe of your own bug 267996, Pascal, isn't it? :) Even if this one is more general since it is not only restricted to bundles :)

I think this will cause more good than bad. The argument for not putting a .qualifier on at this point is weak given with p2 usage.
