Moving the remoteCDT plugin from TM into CDT is a simple way of getting rid of the API problem. Also, the CDT community is more likely to work on improvements to this feature than TM, which only provides the basic file/terminal infrastructure here.

CDT will add the new plugin in their M7.

It is done. I've created a new feature and included the remote launch into the CDT master feature for the build.
