Wow, that's impressive.

There are 2 tabs in the new extension dialog box, "Extension Points" and "Extension Wizards". If the wizard is used then there is no need of selecting an extension point from the 'Extension Points' tab. However if an extension point is selected and then the wizard is also used to add an extension, then both the extensions are added.

Probably if the extension wizard tab is used then the selection in 'Extension Points' tab should be ignored ?

The steps to reproduce are:
1) Check out org.eclipse.pde.api.tools.ui bundle
2) Select the MANIFEST.MF and open the editor
3) Go to Extension tab
4) Click Add...
5) Select org.eclipse.ui.popupMenus extension point in the Extension Points tab
6) Use the wizard to add a new popup menu extension
6) Follow all the steps and finish
7) The new extension is added into the existing entry for popup menu (from the wizard), and at the bottom an empty entry is added for popup menus (from the selection in the 'Extension Points' tab).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
