+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #252804 +++

Projects must optimize their own update site using pack200 to reduce bandwidth utilization and provide a better update experience for users. With the introduction of p2, project update sites must generate metadata (artifact and content repository info).

Confirmed for the Query, Transaction, and Validation components.

The Modeling Project build system packs all JARs and generates the p2 meta-data.

Recognized for CDO/Net4j. I think Nick addressed this issue for all EMF components?

Teneo follows the same approach as the other EMF components

Pack200 optimization is provided for all EMF components by the common modeling build.
