+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #252794 +++

Projects should leverage only published APIs of dependencies. As a Release Review requirement, deviations should be listed as part of a migration plan, with bugs listed where APIs need to be provided by dependent projects.

Tim, I should have thought to assign this to you earlier ... but, seems like a fine Galileo "must do" for the WTP Architecture Lead! :) 

It was "due" M6 ... and assuming this take some effort, I'd suggest changing to M7.

If there was a "half-assed" resolution state, this one would get it. 

I know we use some non-API from Platform, and I know we have bugs open for nearly all of them. But ... we use to do a systematic scan to make sure all was accounted for, and we did not do one of those this release, to my knowledge. 

If you have more to add, Tim, please do.
