Description Valentin Baciu CLA 2008-10-17 08:49:56 EDT
It is fairly standard behaviour that (at least on Windows) the user can select a set of things by selecting the first thing then using Shift+left mouse click on the last thing. This is for example how the user can select multiple files in the project explorer, or multiple problems in the problems view, etc. I'm not entirely sure about other platforms, but I suspect they have a similar mechanism for range selection.

Our GEF figures used in the graphical view are not behaving like this. For example in a complex type with multiple attributes or elements one cannot use this gesture to select more than one element/attribute. The user must Ctrl+click repeatedly to select multiple components to achieve the end result.

Our figures should be enhanced to support range selection.
