Consider using a p2 install or mirror step to assemble the final results of a build.

Currently, pde.build assembles the results and then generates metadata on those results.  In the case of a product build, missing is a call to the director to perform the final install according to the metadata.

If metadata can be generated earlier on in the build-cycle, then p2 install can occur as a packaging step instead of as a post build step.

Changing Version tag to something more believable. Note that this is not a statement about when the enhancement request will be addressed (the Target Milestone field is used for that); the Version tag should be set to the version of Eclipse you were using when you saw the need for the enhancement.

Currently we are not actively enhancing PDE build anymore. Therefore, I close this bug as WONTFIX.
