WOuld like to see a Source editor (like the webtools XML editor) that can be generated from as an editor from a genmodel. The source editor would be able to be easily integrated into an RCP based environment or the full-blown eclipse IDE. Also would like the ability to extend/override the basic source editor with new completion proposals, color highlighting , etc.

That would indeed be nice, but this is so unlikely to ever happen. :-(

Does WTP's SSE work with RCP?  Is it separated from the rest of WTP. WTP's build depends on EMF, so there'd even be build issues if we had to build infrastructure to integrated with SSE...

If you or someone cared to prototype an implementation of this, it would be far more likely to move ahead.
