When doing an install of a feature patch from an old-style update site (e.g. one that is not p2-ized) we are very likely to run into problems. Any exported packages provided by the bundles being updated by the feature patch will not be available since we only generate a "partial IU". This can lead to unsatisfied dependencies and subsequent failure to install the feature patch.
We should minimally readme this if we don't fix it.
Pascal, for the 3.4.2 milestone are you referring to adding a readme, or fixing it?
Readme for 3.4.2. I don't think we will ever fix it.
This got closed accidentally. I could not find a trace of the text in the readme file. John could you please confirm?
Correct, it is not in the readme yet.

Kim, see the attached patch for the 3.4.2 readme file.
Created attachment 121441 [details] Patch against HEAD While it's in my mind, here is a patch for the readme against HEAD as well. This patch also removes an item from the readme which was addressed in the 3.5 stream. Kim, can you apply this patch as well?
Patches released in maintenance and head streams of the readme.
Thanks Kim!
