Description John Pitman CLA 2008-08-10 17:13:31 EDT
Build ID: Eclipse 3.4

Steps To Reproduce:
Running with Eclipse 3.4 + jdt.core patch 3.4.1.v_877a_R34x (we also see this without the patch)

We have some code that uses the jdt search apis to find information about annotations. We are seeing some source files being opened as many as 70 times during these searches.

I can provide a sequence of stack traces showing the file opens, contact me for details.

Something to look at for 3.5M7...

John,

I'm interesting by:
1) the stack traces if you still have them (attached to this bug or by mail)
2) if possible a way to help me to reproduce (snippet with your code calling the search engine API or a test case)

TIA

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
