Description Anthony Hunter CLA 2008-07-15 16:34:08 EDT
We would like to adopt Batik 1.7 in GMF 2.2.

The Orbit request is Bug 189139 .

There are 19 CQ requests for each of the Batik plug-ins in Orbit used by GMF.

The initial patch for GMF was attached to Bug 189139

We also depend on Bug 258349 .

GMF had planned to adopt Batik 1.7 for Galileo. It is "almost" in Orbit, but we have hit a few snags.

The Batik 1.7 PDF Transcoder is not in Orbit yet and it depends on two additional CQ that are not resolved (Bug 258349).

As well, even though it is minor release, Batik 1.7 does include some API breakage that GMF has not adopted yet (mainly because Batik 1.7 is not in Orbit yet).

Given we are past M6, GMF is removing its support for Batik 1.7 in Galileo and falling back to the existing Batik 1.6

Any news on this? Eclipse e4 is using Batik 1.7 so currently you need two different versions in you installation when you use GMF.
