Hello,
It could be good to have at least a simple profiler, eg a time and/or space 
profiler. To do that, it could good to have such an extension like the AJDT 
called ACDT ; the use of aspects would enable us to build quite simple profiler 
ans statistics tools...

OProfile's kernel module has just become part of kernel 2.5.43.  My vote is for
OProfile ("http://oprofile.sourceforge.net/").

Possibly some sort of integration with Valgrind
("http://developer.kde.org/~sewardj/"; a Purify workalike) would be beneficial,
but that might require another feature request.

Eclipse Hyades Project is planning to develop a profiler for c++.

PR was not targeted to any particular release. Changing target milestone to 2.1

The OProfiler code was contributed to CDT, see the CVS repository.
The question how to integrate this with hyades and all.
