If you select on any of the soap extension elements in the source view, you'll get a blank title in the properties view no content in the Extensions tab.

The selection changed listener can be enhanced.

I agree, still a problem in 3.1. The XSD editor handles annotations nicely and perhaps can be used as an example on how to achieve this.
