Steps To Reproduce:
If you create a plug-in project / Eclipse RCP project you can maintain the Workspace Data in the "Run Configuration". The default value is ${workspace_loc}/../runtime-PlugInName.product.

I would like to be able to change this default to something else, e.g. c:\temp. I can currently maintain an argument to this parameter but this argument is currently not saved.

My intention is that I would like to set the runtime environment for new RCP application for all future RCP / plug-in to a specific place.

Moving to PDE UI. However, this may really be a duplicate of "launch configuration templates" (bug 41353).

This would be straightforward with config templates, so I'm marking this as a dupe.  It is not worth adding a new feature/preference to PDE, that few people would use.
