Description David Carver CLA 2008-05-02 22:35:43 EDT
WTP 3.0M7IBuild20080502
Eclipse 3.4M6

When the cursor is placed in an element region, the element is highlighted in gray, and the cursor immediately jumps to the beginning of the region. This is also causing issues with scrolling as well.

It also happens with Comment regions as well. You can place the cursor in a comment region, and it immediate jumps back to the other regions.

I can produce this behavior consistently on any of the SSE editors with the latest Stable Build. This behavior makes using the editor unusable for any editing.

Attribute values don't seem to be affected. PI declaration is also affect though.

Dave, I'm not seeing this with S-3.0M7-20080502203011 and its prereqs (the updated ones that are newer than M6a), not with the XML, XSD, or HTML editors...at least when on Windows XP.

Does it happen with the updated prereqs? Which perspective were you in, and did you have any additional views active in it?

Nope, not seeing it on Linux, either.

I'll see about getting down the updated pre-reqs for the above.

I was seeing this consistently in the XML editor and the XSLT editor, in any particular perspective and with any view. I'll download the latest I-Build of the platform as well as the updated preqs tomorrow and see if I can reproduce it. If i can, I'll record a small flash presentation showing it happening.

Latest Platform Build and Pre-Reqs seems to have taken care of the issue.
