Right now it's not possible to identify required fields until you hit the submit button and find out that some are missing.  It would be nice to have the code handle it since it already has the information.

A little red asterisk now shows up next to required fields in all forms that use html_edit_fields() to manage field display (nearly all forms).  Checked in and pending release.
