The current name for updating the class reference list is confusing/misleading, as it implies more than what is actually happening. I think a better name for this action would be Persistence.xml->"JPA Tools"->"Update Class List". It implies much less, and more accurately describes what we are doing, which is updating a list of class references. Other possibilities would be - "Update Class References" - "Update Class Reference List" Let me know if you have a different suggestion, or prefer one over another.
My concern with Update is that it is used for our project update. The job is labeled Update JPA Project : <project name>. And since this job is definitely doing a lot, we don't want to confuse the two. I don't have another suggestion at the moment.
I think "Update Class List" is specific enough that it wouldn't be confused with the Update Project job. Also, the project update is not very noticeable to the end user, so I think this lessens the conflict further. Given that it is late in the game, perhaps a more mild change is in order. I'll propose "Synchronize Class List". The other option would be to just wait for the next release, which may be appropriate at this point.
After more consideration, the following change was made - "Synchronize Class List". I believe this text addresses all of the concerns raised in the bug.
