With multi-core processors, and multiprocessor computers becoming more and more common it would be nice if Eclipse source compiling was multi-threaded so that builds were faster.

Microsoft Visual Studio does this and can often keep all the cores busy while building a project/solution. Eclipse can never keep more than one core busy.
