I'm seeing a 10x slowdown when generating the metadata repository for an eclipse extension location. This doesn't seem to happen every time we generate. When the problem happens, I see the CPU usage drop so suspect something is blocking as opposed to spinning.

I haven't seen this problem occur since the performance fixes in bug 238312 happen. Closing as INVALID as we never really had a good test case -- just a hunch.
