Description Darin Wright CLA 2008-04-01 15:16:17 EDT
The setting of the "sort" toggle in the manifest editor is not persisted. I always find myself pressing the sort button each time I open a manifest editor.

The "sort" toggle appears on two tabs in the editor - Dependencis and Extensions. As well, there is a corresponding "sort" toggle in the editor outline. If feels like the initial setting in the editor should be tied to the outline (not sure if the outline setting is stored as a user preference or a view setting though - and recall the outline does not have to be present).

I would like to see all sort buttons linked/shared. So, if I press sort in one outline/tab, I get sorting for the entire editor, rather than having to manage it in three places.

How about a preference to always sort plug-in type lists in PDE? Clicking one and having it apply to all others is weird, a preference seems like a good option here.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
