Description Kim Horne CLA 2008-03-06 14:25:46 EST
If you fix bug 221709 and launch the installer you are warned that you aren't pointing at any particular product to install. Looking at the VM arguments in the p2installer.ini (within the app bundle) there's no reference to the SDK profile. If you add -Dorg.eclipse.equinox.p2.installDescription=http://update.eclipse.org/eclipse/testUpdates/sdk-installer.properties to this file you can start and install the SDK.
Comment 1 John Arthorne CLA 2008-03-07 10:21:40 EST
This feels like a FrameworkAdmin bug, since the VM argument appears on other platforms.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
Comment 3 Ed Merks CLA 2020-02-21 01:41:19 EST
This is not for a widely adopted/used component.
