As outlined in [1] and [2] a generic preference page is needed that is based on org.osgi.service.cm and org.osgi.service.metatype much like the Knopflerfish cm_desktop bundle [3]. Because such a page would be fairly generic and not really specific to ECF, cross-project efforts might be worthwhile.

P.S.: Apparently IBM's Expeditor ships with a ConfigAdminPreferencePage [4] which unfortunately isn't EPL. ;-o
