Description benson margulies CLA 2008-01-25 16:33:27 EST
Please add the same explorer filters to the J2EE project explorer as we have in the Java perspective, so that I can filter all those jars out of my tree.

The Java EE perspective includes the Project Explorer view. This is a component developed in the Platform UI project. Any filter related to Java elements (like JARs) are contributed to the Project Explorer by the JDT UI project. Therefore, I move the bug to JDT UI.

Benson, please tell exactly which filter, that you use in the Package Explorer (Java perspective), you miss in the Project Explorer (Java EE perspective). Having this information, the colleagues from JDT UI could register this filter in the Project Explorer as well.

In J2EE, in the project explorer, click on the triangle in the upper right for the menu. You will see no menu item labeled 'Filters'.

In Java, in the project explorer, click on the triangle in the upper right for the menu. You will see a menu item labeled 'Filters'.

Further, for each filter you have ever used, you will see an additional checkbox menu filter for that filter. Example: 'Libraries from external'.

Oh, I see...

In Project Explorer the "Filters..." action in the drop-down menu is renamed as "Customize View...". In the dialog that pops up there are two tabs: Filters (looks similar to the one in Package Explorer) and Content.

Please give a list of filters that you miss.
