Description Chris Aniszczyk CLA 2008-01-11 16:06:16 EST
As a best practice, it's nice to always include .qualifier in your plug-ins. We should start promoting this best practice when plug-ins are created using PDE wizards.

I can't think of many reasons why you WOULDN'T want to use .qualifier

my smallest patch ever :oD

The patch is simple, but I'm still thinking about whether we want to enforce this best practice on plug-in creation or have it as a configurable compiler option.
Comment 5 Chris Aniszczyk CLA 2008-02-11 11:14:19 EST
Oh, my reasoning is that .qualifier is only applicable really to PDE Build and there are crazy people out there that don't use PDE Build :)

will look at later

I changed the subject of this bug to add functionality to the organize manifest wizard... it's a better way to do things.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
Comment 9 Julian Honnen CLA 2019-09-09 02:40:52 EDT
Please remove the stalebug flag, if this issue is still relevant and can be reproduced on the latest release.
