Description Chris Aniszczyk CLA 2007-11-17 17:15:13 EST
When adding packages to your manifest via the PDE editors, you launch a conditional list dialog which allows you to comb through exported packages.

It would be nice if we had a 'Show internal packages' option that was unchecked by default. This would allow us to present users with all the public packages first, before they think about using internal packages. This is a similar approach of how we handle non-java packages in that dialog.

And here I thought we didn't want to promote bad programming habits ;-)

As long as it is off by default (like you said in the initial entry), it won't change our default user experience so I am happy.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Please remove the stalebug flag, if this issue is still relevant and can be reproduced on the latest release.
