Description Thomas Watson CLA 2007-10-26 10:42:26 EDT
With the release of API to enable/disable bundles in the runtime (bug 207360), it would be nice to have a UI for adding/removing DisabledInfo objects to the runtime state to disable/enable bundles in the runtime.

I'm not suggesting this be in the SDK, but perhaps some add-on bundle which exposes the function. Chris A. suggests somehow contributing to the PDE plug-ins view.

org.eclipse.pde.runtime.patch

Added support for starting, stopping, disabling and enabling bundles via the plug-in registry view.

To enable these options, users must check off the "Show Advanced Operations" menu item.

a target milestone would be awesome too... I think Mylyn messed something up.

Your choice of policy names (ui) was not very creative :)

Please change it to something domain specific to PDE-UI, perhaps "org.eclipse.pde.ui". I just changed the "console" policy name to "org.eclipse.osgi.framework.console"
