Webmasters: Can we run a global bugzilla mysql db update this week on all the EMF, EMFT, MDT, and M2T bugs which are currently in state:resolution of RESOLVED:FIXED, and move them to VERIFIED:FIXED? I could do so using the Bugzilla web UI, but that will generate over 2000 database updates (and 2000n emails) for just EMF [1]. We'd prefer to avoid that mailserver-clogging spamfest, if possible. I disable Bugzilla email, you press commit, and when you're done, I re-enable bugzilla mail. Hacking at the backend is error-prone, and I don't do it anymore. This is much better. Let me know when you're ready -- preferably a quiet period during the day, like 4:59'ish PM ET.

I'm not sure how many 1000s of bugs we're talking given that a query ends up with that 'too big for bugzilla's little mind' warning on it... which would suggest that I'm going to need a substantial amount of time to submit such an http request. Or more accurately, several requests.
Looks like if I query for bugs with a comment including "Fixed in" with a state/resolution of RESOLVED:FIXED, I get: 499+438+455+171 for EMF 187 for EMFT 195 for M2T 488 for MDT 20 bugs for Modeling That's 2453 bugs -- should get us through most of the ones that need to change state. What evening this week works for you? Tomorrow and Wed are build nights for me, so I'll be online until quite late.

You need not only set the resolution field, you also need to set a comment AND a Bug Activity record, otherwise Bugzilla complains. I know it's a pain for you, but BZ data is too important to just hack and poke. Perhaps you can just send me your queries and I can do all this for you during the weekend, so it impacts no one?

Why not just run all the queries listed (including Christian's addendum to my last list), and when that's done we'll see what's left in the wrong state? Worst case, we miss a few. No danger of changing too many with the queries listed.
