The existing GEF palette UI has been unchanged for quite some time. Meanwhile the platform has undergone a number of changes. This enhancement has the goal to get a refreshed palette into GEF. I attached two screenshots. The first screenshot shows the Eclipse 2.1 UI, which the palette looks very good with colours, square corners and verticle gradients matching the rest of the Eclipse platform UI. The second shows the Eclipse 3.3 UI, new everything, same old palette.

See also bug 133385, although there are several aspects of the blueprint there which can not be achieved, such as the palette meeting the border of the view. Does Andree have any new iterations of the blueprints?

Andree does not have any new iterations of the blueprints. I wanted her to review the April 19, 2006 plans to see if anything needed to be changed. Not sure if we will get the cycles from media design.
