Description Dani Megert CLA 2007-09-24 04:39:36 EDT
3.4 M2

The new occurrence write access decoration adds confusion in the editor: while the Search view uses color X for read and color Y for write access matches it always uses color X to mark the matches in the editor. This is confusing. We should color Y for write access marks in the editor as well.

If possible we should also try to use the same icon in the vertical ruler.

In addition, there are two separate color preferences for the editor and the view.

Not sure if we can do something about that. The editor annotation colors have to work well with the editor fg/bg colors, but the colored labels are used in views (with table/tree widget fg/bg).

Note that we already have a "Write Occurrences" annotation, and it looks the same as the label color. The problem is that this is only used as background color in the editor when the variable is selected.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
