Description DJ Houghton CLA 2007-08-15 15:10:27 EDT
We will add support for security facilities such as JAAS, JCA, keystore, credentials, and signature validation. [Equinox]
Comment 1 Bernd Kolb CLA 2007-08-17 03:54:52 EDT
Will the extension point registry respect these new security facilities? So will it be possible to filter extensions depending on the security settings?
Comment 2 Jeff McAffer CLA 2007-08-18 23:04:05 EDT
Seems unlikely. This plan item is more around authentication infrastructure and credential management etc.
Comment 3 Thomas Watson CLA 2008-05-19 12:00:47 EDT
See bug 153850 and bug 153847 for more information on what was implemented in security for 3.4. Closing as fixed. Additional security requirements will be considered in the 3.5 plan.
