Steps To Reproduce:
1. Attempt to connect to a valid MSN account with the wrong password.
2. A background task is launched, which sticks at 30%.
3. No errors are reported and the connection task never dies.
4. Terminating the connection task and starting a a new attempt with the right pswd also sticks at 30%.
5. Quit Eclipse and start again with the correct pswd wokrs fine.

I'm interested in working on this bug on Eclipse Bug Day (July 27 2007).
I've produced a patch. I hope that solves the problem.

Problem reproduced and patched solution reproduced. Thanks Cagatay. I have committed this to CVS HEAD. I will commit it to the maintenance branch some other time (hopefully this weekend), so I will leave this open for the time being.

Committed to the 1.0.x maintenance branch...well, assuming I did it right anyway.
