Description Chris Aniszczyk CLA 2007-06-25 15:51:14 EDT
When logged into IRC, people can set their status to away. It would be nice if these people in the chat view were highlighted to indicate they are away (maybe italicized what most clients to).

Changing target milestone to 1.2 since we probably won't make this for 1.1. Perhaps we can shoot for Sept bugday.

I'd like to work on this bug, but I have bo clue where to start.
Could you provide me the context for this bug?
Comment 3 Remy Suen CLA 2007-09-28 13:26:32 EDT
This bug is dependent on the fact that we need a way to capture the fact that a user has gone away. I'm not sure if IRClib supports such an event at the moment.

I tried to look at the IRClib library and it seemed that it didin't have the event for going away. Can we do something with this any further?or do we have to wait for the IRClib developers to add this functionality.

You should contact Christoph Schwering (schwering@gmail.com) about enhancing IRClib. He's done it specifically in response to ECF requests before and is an ECF contributor. Or you could offer a patch to him/IRClib as well.

I wrote an email to Christoph and now I'm waiting for the response.
