Description Henning Riedel CLA 2007-06-15 20:13:55 EDT
As I just see from the images about the XL C/C++ fragment, why are this
not ordered underneath the Executable/Static Library/Shared Library in
the New Project wizard?

This looks inconsistent for me, and would make a mess, if there come
more compiler fragments, doing it like this or the other?

Regards,
Henning

The reason this happens is that these are currently only being populated as old-style project types.

I'm not sure how to change this so that the templates can be selected. I know the toolchain definitions specified the right artifact type.

Hey Chris, in my clean up of the wizard. Would it be OK if I moved the xlc stuff around?

Yeah go nuts. Just don't remove the project types entirely in the XML for the toolchain or anything like that as we use those programmatically in our product. If you can figure out how to get them contributed via the artifact type and whatnot I'm all for it.

Cool. Yeah, will do. Build artifact types are still pretty important. I'm not planning on changing the build model at this point. Just reorganizing the UI mainly.
