Description Xuan Chen CLA 2007-05-16 11:25:12 EDT
I expanded a couple child folders in one of the folder in remote file system.
Then I pasted a file into that that remote folder.
After pasting, both expanded child folders collapsed.

I also tried the similar operations in local connection, and the child folders stayed opened. But I did notice the folder icons for child folders became close and then open.

I think this may be a more generic problem with refresh remote. I've hit what looks like this problem with Bug 173518 as well. What I think is happening is that we start a getChildren() query in smart refresh and then follow up with trying to expand the child folders - however because the query is deferred (i.e. is in background) the only available child node is the "Pending..." one so we're not able to expand it.

Looks like this is a duplicate of bug #187739.

I'm not sure we can get this done for RC3. Let's focus on the hi-priority bugs first, before we attach the lower-priority ones.
