We basically need to tie our syntax coloring preferences in with the workbench themes framework so that we handle syntax coloring better when we're in high contrast mode

see bug 22243 to see how java editor fixed this problem in 3.3.

Looks good to me, and a responsibility that's too easily deferred.  Marking for PMC approval since it means adding potentially user-visible strings.
