Steps To Reproduce:
1. Open the "Creating an Eclipse plug-in" cheat sheet
2. Click on "Create a plug-in"
3. Within the "Test the plug-in" step, go to the 5th sub-step.
4. Note that although the cheat sheet mentions an Eclipse logo icon, this icon will not appear in the new Eclipse instance, because it is hidden by the Welcome page.

Patch for bug 185375.

Added an optional step to close the Welcome view, if it is open.
