Description Thorsten Möller CLA 2006-12-13 08:50:25 EST
As of V3.2.1 it is not possible to specify which types of Java comments (single line, multiple line, JavaDoc) should be formated or not, i.e., it is possible to turn comment formating on/off for all comment types completely but not fine grained for each type.
I want to propose to extend the comments formatter checkbox "Enable Comment formatting" by three subordered checkboxes, named like "JavaDoc", "Sinlge line comments", "Multiple line comments" to make it possible to turn on/off formatting for each of these types. The reason is that most of the times I want to (re)format JavaDoc comments but not single and multiple line comments which is currently not possible. ... would be nice to have this ...
