I use eclipse.buildId=I20061102-1715. (Eclipse 3.3M3)

In the PDE perspective I use the 'Show In' menu on files with extension java and get 'Package Explorer', 'Outline', and 'Navigator' in this menu. When I use this menu on a file with extension txt (or some other), I got nothing in this menu.

Searching the plug-in manifest I didn't find a perspectiveExtension with showInPart. In addition, I didn't find references to the method IPageLayout.addShowInPart.

this is not a PDE issue.

but in any event, using Build id: I20061129-1340, the Show In > Navigator menu item shows up just fine.

Moving to jdt/ui to confirm/close as I suspect they may own this function.

In what view  are you using 'Show In'? Package explorer?

If you are missing 'Show In' in editors other than Java editors, file bugs directly against the corresponding editors. If you meant the PDE editor, I'll move the bug back to PDE.

But to really understand what you mean, I need more information.

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
