Description Greg Jordan CLA 2006-11-24 10:47:19 EST
I just spent an age poking around in a standard build project wondering why the include paths that I specified in "Properties: C/C++ Include Paths & Symbols" are not passed to the makefile - despite having clicked "Export". Then I discovered the following interesting link:

http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.tools.cdt/msg08788.html

The GUI seems thereby to be suggesting a functionality that it is not delivering, and is thus at least very misleading. Conversely, if the include paths are really supposed to be passed to the makefile, then this does not seem to be happening. Could you provide some feedback here please?

In fact, the GUI does not suggest anything in those properties. Your expectations are wrong but I agree that it should give some kind of description to avoid confusion like that. I am changing the subject of this bug to request the description for those properties.
