Description William Fulton CLA 2006-08-25 04:57:30 EDT
This is a request to show the annotation for an element's type in addition to the annotation for the element itself when using the XML Editor (Source view).

Attached is an example schema and xml file. The schema defines the BondType, which has two elements - the calendar element has no annotation, whereas the issue element does. When the mouse is held over the calendar element in test.xml, no useful documentation appears. The suggestion is for the annotation from the type (CalendarType in this case) to appear in the tooltip. I suggest this occurs for all elements, even the issue element (which would display the IssueType annotation in addition to the issue element annotation).

This behaviour would mimic what xmlspy shows when editing xml files.

An option might be in order to choose whether or not this additional documentation is shown in the tooltip.
