Description ajay apte CLA 2006-08-24 10:13:06 EDT
I am using eclipse 2.1.2 with WebSphere WSAD on top of it. I am seeing this strange problem. When some of the files in the project are locked (because WebSphere is using them) and if I try to rebuild my project then the build fails with "locked files" error which is expected. But when I unlock those files and issue a rebuild project again, the project does not build my java source. Since i have turned on the option to clean class files before a rebuild, the failed rebuild already cleans up class files. Even with Rebuild All I can not get the java source to compile since it was first cleaned before rebuild failed due to locked files. Even restarting eclipse does not help.

I got it to work by rebooting but of course that is not a solution. I am wondering if this is an eclipse bug or at least how to make it rebuild my java source once rebuild fails and class files are cleaned out

Could you please try with a newer version of Eclipse?
Closing as WORKSFORME.
Reopen if you get it with 3.5.
