R3.2 and 3.3 M1 The comment generation section in the new wizards is hard to understand for a user and this is also underlined with several (closed) bug reports. Problems are: - in contrast to all other Eclipse wizards the checkbox state is not persisted but taken from a preference (or project property) - the text (do you want to add comments as configured in the ... project) is misleading: does checking the checkbox switch between workspace and project preferences? What if I currently don't use project settings? Some ideas to improve this: - replace the 'comments' checkbox with a combobox (default, no, yes) and add a link to the preference or project properties - if workspace prefs are used add a link 'enable project properties' which takes the user to the correct property page - instead of checkbox use text blurbs with links. This solves the problem of the persisted state. You could then add a checkbox to override the default and this one could be persisted
