Description Kirby Bohling CLA 2006-07-04 04:44:23 EDT
I have an update site update.site. All of the "fails" vs. "works" are based on when I click "Build All" on the site.xml editor. I have a Feature f1 and a Feature f2. f2 depends upon 1. f2 contains plug-in P2. f1 contains a plug-in p1. p2 directly references classes from p1. When I have p1 configured to build the jar ".", Build All fails. When I change P1 to build "foo.jar", but change nothing else it works. If I include P1 in F2, Build All works. I have both p1 and p2 checked out in the workspace. I would expect that building a plug-in as a Jar would work with respect to linking. I am not sure what happens if p1 is a binary plug-in in the target platform or within the workspace. I can't give you the sample code, but I can attempt to re-create this from scratch with a minimal feature/plug-in. Please advise as to the best way to export the projects/plug-ins for uploading if that is desired.

All of this was using Eclipse 3.2.0.

Currently we are not actively enhancing PDE build anymore. Therefore, I close this bug as WONTFIX.

Please reopen, if you plan to provide a fix.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
