In the "Import Plug-ins and Fragments" dialog, there is a field "Locate Plug-ins and Fragments" where you can enter an ID.

Instead of filtering the list, it simply highlights the matching elements which isn't really helpful when you have 500+ items.

Can you please turn this into a standard filter like in the Prefs dialog?

The PDE-UI team provides this import wizard.  FYI, the Preferences dialog uses  org.eclipse.ui.dialogs.FilteredTree for filtering.
