When retrieving from http://download.eclipse.org/callisto/releases/ I get the following error: Unable to retrieve remote reference "http://mirror.switch.ch/eclipse/callisto/releases/features/org.eclipse.jem_1.2.0.v20060530-RC2--ZasJzJJez.jar". [Server returned HTTP response code: "404 Not Found" for URL: http://mirror.switch.ch/eclipse/callisto/releases/features/org.eclipse.jem_1.2.0.v20060530-RC2--ZasJzJJez.jar.] Version of Eclipse: Eclipse SDK Version: 3.1.2 Build id: M20060118-1600 (c) Copyright Eclipse contributors and others 2000, 2005. I know that Callisto is less than 24 hours old, sorry.
I don't believe DTP has any dependencies on JEM. Forwarding to the VE team. (I apologize if this is the wrong person for this defect.)
Is the file still valid? I can't find it in the download.eclipse.org space. http://download.eclipse.org/callisto/releases/features/org.eclipse.jem_1.2.0.v20060530-RC2--ZasJzJJez.jar If the files were less than 24 hours old, it is entirely possible that some mirrors didn't have it. D.
It is there, I went took a look. It is in this directory on download.eclipse.org: /home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/callisto/releases/features
However, Callisto is not yet released. The final release is not until Friday. VE will actually have another build by then with a small change it. You should wait until the official release to get things. Thanks.

It is in this directory on > download.eclipse.org: > > /home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/callisto/releases/features > Rich, the file you saw on download.eclipse.org is called: org.eclipse.jem_1.2.0.v20060530_RC2--ZasJzJJez.jar The "missing" file Slamlander reported in comment 0 is called: org.eclipse.jem_1.2.0.v20060530-RC2--ZasJzJJez.jar (notice the -RC2 instead of _RC2) So the URL in comment 0 is definitely not good, but I checked http://download.eclipse.org/callisto/releases/site.xml and it refers to the correct file (_RC2). I'm not sure where -RC2 comes from. D.
I just tried downloading myself from Callisto using the update manager against Eclipse 3.2RC7 and it worked fine. It brought down the _ one and didn't try for one with "-". I traced the problem. If you are using Eclipse 3.1.1 it is converting the "_" into an "-", but Eclipse 3.2 RC7 doesn't do that. So the problem is that Callisto is being used for people updating from Eclipse 3.1.1, which isn't permitted. Callisto requires 3.2 to be installed first. But there isn't anything in Callisto update manager that tells you this or prevents it from happening.
Awesome Job. I'd like to nominate this as a great bug. D.
hi, please mention the fact that callisto requires 3.2 somewhere on http://www.eclipse.org/callisto/ or nearby. I just spend 1hour trying to select various mirrors in hope to get the bad file :(
(In reply to comment #9) > hi, > please mention the fact that callisto requires 3.2 somewhere on > http://www.eclipse.org/callisto/ or nearby. This is a good idea. Bug 152334 has been opened for this. D.
