Description OTI Support CLA 2002-04-19 18:17:25 EDT
"Source and bin overlap: They were unaware you could change this in the
default preferences, but then they suggested if you change it, automatic
clean-up should be done."

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Currently we have the 'Window' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Java' -> 'Use 'src' and
'bin' folders as default in new Java projects' preference. This does not
provide an option to convert Java projects that already exist. It is my
understanding that the customer would like the option to change existing
Java projects after selecting the 'Use 'src' and 'bin' folders as default
in new Java projects' preference.

To add to this, I assume that we should provide an option to convert
existing Java projects the other way when the 'Use 'src' and 'bin' folders
as default in new Java projects' preference is de-selected. The options to
"Convert Java project to use src or bin" and "Convert Java project to not
use src and bin" should probably be provided on a Java project basis
(possibly under the context menu of the project or the 'Properties' menu of
the project).
