Description Yasser Lulu CLA 2006-04-26 12:36:11 EDT
Copy Operation tries to capture the context of the elements its is copying, and in the process it seems to be saving more info than is necessary. Eliminating this extra processing will result in significant savings in terms of time.
Comment 1 Linda Damus CLA 2006-05-19 09:50:44 EDT
Moving to the runtime emf inbox. CopyOperation is in org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.emf.clipboard.core.
Comment 2 Christian Damus CLA 2006-05-19 10:44:36 EDT
Can you be more specific, please? What particular contextual information seems to be superfluous? As far as I know, it is all necessary to support correct semantic paste ...

Also, do you have any estimate for the potential time savings (as a ball-park percentage)?

Yaser, we need more detail for this bug to remain major on 1.0.1.

LATER/REMIND bugs are being automatically reopened as P5 because the LATER and REMIND resolutions are deprecated.
