In the XSD source editor, there is content assist for the values of the type attribute on the <element> element, and probably elsewhere. However it is inconsistent with the way content assist works in other contexts. suppose the cursor is like: <element name="person" type="|"/> where | indicates the cursor. Hit Cntl+Space to get suggestions. Good so far. But as you type the list dissappears rather than narrows the suggestions that match the value so far. Note that you can enter part of the value first then hit Cntl+Space to get matching suggestions.
Lawrence - pls track as a UI consistency bug. Thx.
I'm not sure if this is an XSD specific problem or a general XML content assist problem with attribute values. Keith can you investigate?
Not sure if this has been magically fixed or if I'm just missing some key ingredient in order to reproduce it. From my testing it works fine and exactly as you've described that you're expecting. Can you please confirm that this is indeed fixed?
Verified on wtp-sdk-M-1.5.1-200609150551.zip
